One in seven American workers is a caregiver for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia.
Caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s also creates an emotional toll that can further reduce workplace productivity: About 90 percent of caregivers said caring for someone with Alzheimer’s was emotionally stressful, and 70 percent said it was a financial strain on their families.
